The Trumpeter Inn Bed and Breakfast, one of San Juan Island's premier lodging establishments since 1989, is located just a 1-1/2 miles from the picturesque town of Friday Harbor in Washington State. Fall and Spring, particularly, offer a unique opportunity for our guests to enjoy premier birding around our 5 acre San Juan Island pastoral estate, designated an official Backyard Wildlife Sanctuary, and in the Ackley Pond and Marshland adjacent to our Inn, where trumpeter swans, dabbling ducks and other wetland species nest during the winter months. In the morning, with a cup of coffee in hand, walk along the country lane and enjoy the horses and cattle on adjacent pastures. Stroll around the perimeter of the grounds and enjoy our llamas and the soothing sounds of the country. In the evening, relax on a lawn chair or private patio and view the sky exploding with stars.

Strolling our property, one enjoys the beautiful gardens, a panoramic view of the entire San Juan Valley and, in the distance, False Bay and Washington's snow-capped Olympic Mountains. Country quiet, yet in less than five minutes, you can be in "downtown" Friday Harbor to visit the island's charming shops, numerous art galleries and dine at many fine gourmet restaurants.

Trumpeter Inn is one of the few San Juan Island accommodations that provides full concierge services.
