Keep up with events and festivals at the San Juan Islands Visitors Bureau, San Juan Islander and San Juan Update. The Friday Harbor Directory is a great place to get ideas about things to do here on the island. The Library keeps a comprehensive Community Events Calendar as well.

If you visit us without a vehicle, consider renting one from M&W Auto, Susie’s Mopeds, or Island Bicycles. Let San Juan Transit shuttle bus and taxi service transport you around the island with pick-up and drop-off service at the Inn’s doorstep.

To fulfill your art and nature needs, visit the San Juan Islands Museum of Art, Friday Harbor Spring Street Landing Aquarium, and book a San Juan Island Zip Tour.

If you enjoy the art of “birding” and would like to gain an understanding of the flora and fauna of the San Juan Islands, consider spending a day with the San Juan Islands Audubon Society, outdoor enthusiasts who meet monthly to take bird walks on different islands serviced daily by the Washington State Ferry system. A schedule of their bird walks are listed on the Society’s website. A private “birding tour” on the island can also be arranged with birding expert and author of Birds of the Northwest Barbara Jensen.

A visit to San Juan Island’s Pelindaba Lavender Farm will be a highlight of your trip. At the farm, you’ll enjoy six blooming acres of lavender and experience not only the beauty and smell of lavender but also the bounty of products made at the farm. Also, don’t miss browsing through the Pelindaba Downtown Store in Friday Harbor where you can sit and relax in the delectable cafe while you wait for the ferry.

Pamper yourself to a divine spa experience at the Lavendera Day Spa or Afterglow Spa at Roche Harbor.

We also have a terrific, challenging golf course at the San Juan Golf and Country Club. Practice your putting or play a round of golf with spectacular water views as the backdrop to your game.
