About Friday Harbor

Friday Harbor is one of two harbors on San Juan Island, in the San Juan Islands archipelago. This charming seaport is home to some of the island's best known attractions, including the Whale Museum and the San Juan Islands Museum of Art. It's an excellent base camp for whale-watching adventures, kayaking in the surrounding waters, or hiking San Juan Island. And, if you want to explore Friday Harbor's many shops and historical sites, you won't even need a car. Friday Harbor is only around two-square miles in size, and pretty much everywhere in town is a just a short walk away.

Why San Juan Island?

The San Juan Islands are a Pacific Northwest archipelago located in the Salish Sea between Washington state and Vancouver Island. San Juan Island is the second largest island in the chain and arguably the most popular one to visit. Here, you'll find a small-town atmosphere, friendly residents, and plenty of unique activities to enjoy and iconic places to explore.

We're so glad we found this place, we got really lucky and had the whole b&b to ourselves since it still early on in the season. The owners were lovely people and Claudia's breakfast was over the top amazing!! I would come here alone for the hospitality and the breakfast. The location was five minutes away from town, they also had alpacas and Oreo the goat that you can feed. I can't say enough good things about this place!! You gotta stay here and see for yourself!

I'd give them 10 stars if I could! The best place to stay on the island in my opinion. Convenient, quiet, and the most wonderful hosts. The rooms are all very clean and comfortable. Love having a private bathroom. Claudia and her husband have been the most accommodating and kind hosts - wonderful with detail and communication, and the most delicious breakfast meal each morning made by Claudia herself. A truly wonderful experience and a place I look forward to coming to each time I am visiting the island. Thank you from a grateful guest!

Arrived exhausted after a plane, shuttle, and ferry to a beautiful, clean room with a view of the alpaca pasture! My room was clean and modern and I helped myself to tea and fresh cookies. The breakfasts were scrumptious and different each day. Everything runs as advertised, which is impressive to me. The couple who own it are professional yet kind and friendly. I traveled here without a car and managed really well. I'd return again and felt it was well worth it to stay here.
