If you enjoy the art of "birding" and would like to gain an understanding of the flora and fauna of the San Juan Islands, consider taking a day out of your vacation to meet with other outdoor enthusiasts, members of the San Juan Islands Audubon Society, who meet monthly to take bird walks on different islands serviced daily by the Washington State Ferry system. A schedule of their bird walks are listed on the Society's website. A private "birding tour" on our island can also be arranged with birding expert and author of Birds of the Northwest Barbara Jensen.

A visit to San Juan Island's renown Pelindaba Lavender Farm will be a highlight of your tour of San Juan Island.
